ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Grants Manager.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Grants Manager is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration for all grants related to Instruction division under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment Development. The Grants Manager is responsible for the management of grant contract requirements and performance; assist in completing all financial budget narratives and budget detail worksheets for each grant; maintain and keep up to date grant records; monitor and report on grant strategy budgets; and ensure compliance with ICCB GATA budget, guidelines and expenditures. This position is responsible for assisting with budgeting, recording of transactions, financial reporting to various agencies, and providing analysis and recommendations. If grant parameters allow, the intent for this position is to be grant-funded.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate degree in related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Three (3) years of experience in clerical funding or secretarial work required. One (1) year in grants administration strongly preferred.

3. Experience with word processing programs, spreadsheet, and Excel required.

4. Experience with detailed calculations that demand accuracy required.

5. Ability to communicate with internal and external persons and agencies is required.

6. Knowledge of office computer software required.

7. Experience in marketing and in working with varied community agencies strongly preferred.

8. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

SALARY: Salary Grade 2 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $44,691 to $55,841.
