ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Digital Marketing Specialist.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Digital Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the college’s digital presence, supporting social media strategies, and promoting the SWIC brand across various digital platforms. This position requires technical expertise, as well as proficiency with search engine optimization (SEO) and web analytics and will be responsible for tracking and evaluating website traffic and SEO to optimize organic performance and ensure that the website adheres to market and industry best practices. This position focuses on the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives that engage and attract prospective students, alumni, and other key stakeholders. The individual in this role will assist the marketing department with day-to-day operations and reporting, and other college special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in applied science, Marketing, Communications, or related is required.
  2. Two years of relevant work experience is required.
  3. Proficiency with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, web development software, Microsoft Office Suite is required, and PeopleSoft experience is preferred.
  4. Higher Education and/or Community College experience is preferred
  5. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

SALARY: Salary Grade 2 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $44,691 to $55,841.
