The primary purpose of this position is to analyze, evaluate and promote improvement plans, methods, procedures, computer systems, weapon systems and techniques.
  • Plans, develops, organizes, administers, evaluates, and coordinates supply system programs, designed to ensure the proper operating procedures Logistics systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
  • Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
  • Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is analyzing, evaluating and promoting improvement plans, methods, procedures, computer systems, weapon systems and techniques. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

EDUCATION:
in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Logistics Management like. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
1) four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, or,
2) one full year of graduate level education, or superior academic achievement, or,
3) master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related, or,
4) successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
2. Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.

3. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.???????
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.

5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
