HireLevel is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Alton, Illinois! The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for equipment upgrade and new installations while focusing on safety for self and coworkers. The right candidate will have experience with single-phase 120 Volt; 3-phase electrical 240-600 Volt; PLC/Electronic; SERVO experience is a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus and attention to work safely for self and coworkers 
  • Responsible for equipment upgrade and new installations 
  • Responsible for repair, rebuild, and preventive maintenance activities involving hydraulic & pneumatic equipment including motors, pumps, valves, conveyors, compressors, and drive trains 
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment 
  • Fabricate shop equipment and machine guarding using welding and cutting tools 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience required 
  • Welding experience necessary; ability to use various hand tools 
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and micrometers 
  • Experience with single-phase 120 Volt; 3-phase electrical 240-600 Volt; PLC/Electronic; SERVO experience is a plus 
  • Previous experience troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance in a fast-paced industrial environment 
  • Previous sheet metal fabricating and/or plastic mold injection experience a plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision required 
  • Experience with Plastic Mold Injection-Setup & Maintenance a plus 
  • Willingness to work other shifts in case of emergency
