ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, grant-funded, administrative position of Director, Older Adult & Caregiver Counseling Program.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is a full-time grant-funded position. This position is responsible for the administrative and clinical supervision of the Older Adult and Caregiver Consultant as appropriate. This employee also maintains a clinical caseload of older adults and/or caregivers of older adults regarding their situational difficulties and resources to assist them. In addition, this position maintains an active schedule of community education and support programs for older adults and caregivers of older adults. This position maintains close contact with granting agencies, including grant applications, management, and all required reporting. This position works with very limited supervision. This position is dependent upon external funding.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling is required.
- Illinois LCSW or LCPC licensure is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years post graduate work in mental health counseling is required, preferably with older adults.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and a personal vehicle available for business use.
- Must successfully pass criminal background check prior to hire.
SALARY: Salary Grade 2 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $55,841 to $66,991.

WORK LOCATION: Primary office is based out of Programs and Services for Older Persons (PSOP) building, but on-site visits occur throughout St. Clair County and other areas as appropriate.
