By Light is upporting the Managed Information Technology Service (MITS) Enterprise Support Managed Services eforrt for USTRANSCOM.
USTRANSCOM provides command and control (C2) for the scynchronized transportation, distrubution, and sustainment of personnel and assets, making possible the projection and maintenace of national power wherever needede iwth speed and agility, high efficency and chigh level of trust and accuracy.
The MITS contract is intended to provide IT Service Managmeent (ITSM) to USTRANSCOM for strategic, technical and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command's infrastructure, systems and applications.
Responsibilites of the Telecommunications Technician:
-Maintains several thousands user local circuit, telephones, cellular, and personal electronic device reocrds. This includes activate, suspend, change services and trouble shoot issues with personal electronic devices.
-Provide support for USTRANSCOM Portable Electronic Device (PED) program for unclassified devices.
-Install, modify and remove network infrastrucure of telecommunicaton services (e.g. fiber and copper cabling, termination points, programming).
-Performs a variety of electorni and technical assignments using experience in voice cmmunications hardware and configuraiton, troubkeshooting, user support, performance mangement, security and optimization of voice networks.
-Coordinates move, add, change and disconnect activities, excecutes system upgrades as required, performs prevantive mainteance, installs cabling adn resovles repair issues.
-Diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
-Maintains and repairs telecommunications systems and equipment according to manurfactgure recommentations and specifications.
Required Experience:
-Must have at least one of these IAT Level II certifications: CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, SSCP
-Must have at least one Computing Environment (CE) certification for hte technical area of responbility for Operating System (e.g. Microsoft, Linux, Solaris)
-Active Secret Clearance
