ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, grant-funded SWIC Educational Employee position of Senior Services Program Specialist.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position is responsible for the development, operations, programs, staff, record keeping and overall performance of the Service Coordination program. The position works under limited supervision and is responsible for following all H.U.D. and Southwestern Illinois College policies and regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent and three (3) years of management or public service or social work; or an Associate degree in related field and one (1) year experience is required.
  2. Experience in social services delivery with senior citizens and non-elderly disabled persons is preferred.
  3. Successful prior work experience with the senior resident population is preferred.
  4. Certified as or willing to obtain certification through HUD as a certified service coordinator, as well as the Fair Housing & Reasonable Accommodation within the first 90 days of employment.

 

SALARY: $33,807 per year. This position is 37.5 hours per week.

WORK LOCATION: Primary office is based out of Programs and Services for Older Persons (PSOP) building.
