Duties
|
Volunteers greet and refer clients to proper agency/service, or M&FRC staff member.
Volunteers aid with helping prepare areas in the facility for classroom facilitation to include moving classroom configurations and assisting with other pre/post workshop activities. Volunteers also help make workshop packets, print materials, and assist program managers with organizing program storage areas. Volunteers provide general administrative assistance/support to the M&FRC staff such as filing, copying, and organizing. Volunteers assist during scheduled outreach or special events with prior coordination with M&FRC supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

Training
|
Training will be provided prior to commencement of volunteer duties. Training will be relevant to the position to include client confidentiality, telephone etiquette, and on the job training.

Orientation
|
Volunteers will receive an orientation to familiarize them with the Military & Family Readiness Center at Scott AFB, their assigned duties, procedures to document voluntary service hours, policies and procedures, award policies, grievance procedures, line of supervision, the importance of confidentiality, and other relevant matters.
|
Time Required
|
Volunteers may choose the number of hours they wish to work. You may set your time according to the job and your personal needs. Office Hours are Monday-Friday 0700-1600. Some special event volunteer opportunities will have specific hours that are determined by the date and time of the event.
|

|
Informal, verbal. Performed jointly by M&FRC Team Leads. All Volunteers will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on volunteer experience and training.
