The National Security Customer Group of SAIC is seeking a Business System Analyst to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois.  The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6). 

 

The successful candidate shall, in support of the Service Catalog, synchronize efforts with the IT Service Portfolio Manager and produce customer-based additional information for each defined service.  

 

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • A single, authoritative source of information on all IT services offered
  • Maintaining accurate information in the Service Catalog regarding all operational services and those services about to be offered (including services details, status, interfaces, and dependencies)
  • Providing views of the Service Catalogue for an understanding of service definitions and their use
  • Updating the Product Portfolio List (Service Catalog) to include services, software and hardware that is currently being evaluated, approved for use, or has been retired or revoked via the TCUENeT, TCCENeT, and the Unclassified Government Cloud (UGC) as applicable
  • Providing a monthly backup of the Product Portfolio
  • Assist the IT Service Portfolio Manager in documenting and maintaining templates in support of Service Catalog Management
  • Schedule, facilitate, and document all required meetings in support of Service Catalog Management

Qualifications - External

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree 

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant discipline (5 years of equivalent experience)
    • ITIL Foundations (level 3 or higher) certification
    • A Secret clearance
    • Must be US Citizen
    • 10+ years’ experience with:
    • Experience with formal system development methodologies including Agile
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Experience with business process modeling
    • Experience eliciting and documenting software requirements in the form of use cases and user stories
    • Experience in business analysis activities including:
      • SW/HW requirements management and analysis
      • SW/HW requirements elicitation
      • SW/HW solutions analysis
      • SW/HW requirements planning
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Desired Qualifications
    • Membership in International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or related professional organization a plus
