About the Position: Participates as a member of a team tasked with the design, development, testing and management of automation projects mandated by the Deputy Secretary of Defense.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Expertise with automated DoD freight systems such as the Global Freight Management (GFM), Cargo Movement and Operations System (CMOS) and their commercial equivalent; 2) Analyzing transportation systems and surface freight operations to execute global distribution operations; AND 3) Experience in program management, software testing, requirements definition and/or other skills related to developing software supporting transportation capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education: Some Federal positions allow for the substitution of education for required specialized experience. For this position you must qualify based on your experience alone.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
