Claim Academy is a premier developer boot camp that offers immersive on-campus and online programs in software engineering and cybersecurity in St Louis. 

Our mission is to change lives in 12-to 20 weeks with tracks in Java, C#/.Net, JavaScript and Cybersecurity designed to transform novices into industry-ready, software developers through rigorous coursework of pair programming, mentor sessions, and computer science industry programming techniques taught by expert instructors.

Participants complete their learning with multiple career coaching sessions, networking events, and soft skill training which culminates in a final capstone project where the students present to potential employers on the Demo Day and hiring event.

Extensive career training and placement assistance are provided, leading to many of our students receiving offers before they even graduate. We are fanatical about results for our students

The Role

The Company Engagement Manager team is growing and we are looking for mission-driven career educators to join our awesome team.

As a Company Engegment Manager, you will be responsible for graduates' success by helping our job seekers develop their soft skills through a variety of workshops and 1-on-1 mentoring sessions. You will work cross-functionally with technical mentors, account executives, career advisors, content instructors and operations to promote engagement, process improvements, and data tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main coach for our students  assisting them from resume prep, capstone project reviews,  all the way up to salary negotiation
  • Provide 1-on-1 support to job seekers in the tech space ( software engineering and cybersecurity)
  • Support our students  with resume writing, application strategies,  personal branding, communication skills, capstone project practice and prep, interview prep, behavioral mock interviewing and negotiation
  • Learn about each student  goals and experiences to determine how we can help them land a job
  • Ensure each student has the needed technical skills so that they can begin to apply to jobs ( refer to technical mentors, instructors etc for needed support )
  • You will act as the students’ go-to resource and inspiration as they work through the program
  • Accountability partner to experience job placements and ensuring students/grads apply to jobs and attend careers fairs
  • Responsible for reaching  students retention and placement performance metrics (KPIs) 
  • Managing outcome reports 15/ 30/60/180 days
  • Build community within Alumni groups by identifying, creating, and implementing connective experiences, like study groups, basecamp discussions, and student pairing sessions
  • Conduct assessments, holding students to a high bar of mastery for each content module
  • Conduct weekly check-ins with grads to discuss their job search updates
  • Work with our grads and other team members  to ensure good data collection to track progress
  • Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in career coaching at an organization or recruiting in the tech space
  • While this is a full-time role, some availability on evenings and some weekends may be necessary
  • Ability to work with or quickly learn: Google Suite, hubspot, Slack, typeform,basecamp, etc
  • High administrative acumen with the ability to onboard  a new cohort of graduates every 6 weeks; you are that person who can manage 15 things at once and never miss a deadline - you are a zero-inbox junkie and love to cross things off your daily to-do list)*
