Explore St. Louis is seeking a part time Visitor Information Specialist to work at our area Visitor Centers. The position requires ongoing contact with the public. In this position, you will provide assistance by welcoming and disseminating information to visitors with inquiries. Duties include: greeting St. Louis area visitors and providing assistance as requested, promoting upcoming events and activities throughout the region, promptly answering callers, assisting with switchboard coverage and routing calls accordingly, answering the company chat line, entering information into a database regarding visitor inquiries, performing destination research, assisting with mailing projects, and performing special projects as assigned.
Excellent verbal skills plus an engaging communication style are critical. Ability to navigate the internet, GPS and mobile apps is essential. Knowledge and familiarity of the St. Louis hospitality industry + area attractions is required, along with strong customer service skills and courtesy in communications. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings + weekends and holidays is necessary.
