This position is located in the Office of Account Management, Office of Customer and Stakeholder Engagement (QC/CASE), with the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), General Services Administration (GSA).

This position(s) can be filled at any duty location within the geographic area specified in the announcement. The incumbent will be expected to report to a specific GSA duty location two or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy.

Under the administrative direction of the supervisor and with a wide latitude of independent judgment, represents the FAS in all matters relating to the provisions of business opportunities and best value solutions to support defense, civilian, state, local, tribal and territories governments and other industry stakeholders.

Builds strategic relationships with Civilian and/or DOD customer agencies, as well as industry partners, in understanding their specific business requirements to advise how GSA acquisition vehicles, eTools, and solutions can meet their needs.

Conducts research and analyzes it to identify what levels of support and products/services are required to ensure FAS programs solutions meet customer needs.
- Supporting the growth of the acquisition center where applicable through data analysis, vendor/ customer support, research and internal/ external training.

Identifies areas where FAS can provide essential contracting solutions by providing procurement data and data analysis as well as encouraging the use of GSA resources. Provides acquisition advice and guidance, in close concert with a contracting officer and program support personnel, to the military, civilian, state, local, tribal and territories governments and other industry stakeholders.
- Coordinates and/or assists in finalizing customer statements of work, performance work statements, statements of objectives, and other procurement documents.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $104,861.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience:
Specialized experience is advising and consulting with customers on the procurement of multiple services and products in order to meet their organizational and business needs. This experience must include educating and advising customers on a variety of acquisition and procurement vehicles; planning and executing established customer support goals; establishing and maintaining customer relationships; preparing and conducting customer briefings, seminars, and site visits; and independently analyzing customer budget, spend data, and market trends in order to develop acquisition strategies and provide recommendations.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS-12 grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
