 Position Purpose

As a member of the therapy team, the Occupational Therapist’s primary function is to provide a thorough therapy evaluation, a detailed, plan of care including treatment methods and procedures; supervision and guidance of Assistants and consultation with referral sources and other healthcare providers.

 Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Illinois under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
  • Member or eligible for membership in the AOTA preferred.
  • General knowledge and skill enabling the evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of clients/patients such as neonates, pediatrics, young adults, adults and/or geriatrics. Lymphedema experience preferred. 
  • Current certification in CPR and other service line specific competencies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform client-centered evaluations and establish an Occupational Therapy treatment plan.
  • Provide evidenced-based Occupational Therapy treatment.
  • Case management functions: evaluate effectiveness, revise the plan, and discharge from services.
