The primary responsibilities of a campus director include, but are not limited to, management of day-to-day operations, development of new academic programs, supervision of faculty and student services, employee recruitment, providing oversight of academic standards, nurturing student development, facilitating campus expansion, analysis of campus fiscal requirements, ensuring the school adheres to regulation and accreditation standards, evaluation of directors and department personnel, development and implementation of all short and long term strategies, implementation of business plans on a monthly or quarterly basis, assisting management with providing accurate information for decision-making purposes, and ensuring the effective maintenance of campus buildings and operations.

Responsibilities of the Campus Director include, but are not limited to, the following: (This is an in-person position in STL-only)

 

  • Be the “face” of, and serve as the primary point-of-contact for your campus, collaborating with multiple cross-functional departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth campus operations.
  • Clearly communicate, coach, and hold campus instructional staff accountable to program delivery approaches, best practices, positive student sentiment, strong academic results, and successful job placement.
  • Serve as support and safety net for the instructional team and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Identify staffing needs, adjusting when appropriate to reflect student enrollment and program needs.
  • Serve as the primary hiring manager, interviewing and evaluating candidates and facilitating the training and onboarding of new staff.
  • Manage schedules and time cards of hourly staff.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory to manage state regulatory requirements at the local level.
  • Provide leadership to professional staff for the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum content, delivery, and planning.
  • Encourage innovative programs that may improve instruction.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the selection and use of instructional materials.
  • Coordinate assessment and effectiveness of the educational programs.
  • Direct and coordinate a continuing program of staff development to strengthen personnel performance.
  • Implement an LMS system. 
  • Directly work with and support students as they develop the skills necessary for a successful job search and career in the software industry.
  • Build classroom culture and community while coaching success behaviors
  • Ensure student expectations are accurate, build positivity, and guide students in recognizing challenges/bumps as opportunities for growth.
  • Correctly identify and mitigate individual- and class-wide risk-factors. Handle difficult issues such as impostor syndrome, group conflicts, and truancy.
  • Maintain accurate, deep, real-time data on student technical and non-technical performance, working with other members of the instruction team as required.
  • Deliver (often difficult) feedback to students that improve outcomes and result in positive sentiment.
  • Support staff responses to concerns about student progress; collaboratively craft and implement developmentally appropriate and effective remedial solutions.
  • Monitor the budgets during the school year.
  • Directly supervises a select number of Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
