POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Machinist to support manufacturing operations. As a Machinist you will use computer numerical control machines and conventional machines to fabricate parts. Load parts in machines, cycles machines, detects malfunctions in machine operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety, quality, and teamwork. $21/hr+ based on experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate CNC machining centers to produce parts according to specifications
- Inspect and monitor parts during production to ensure quality standards are met
- Read and interpret basic blueprint dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain required production output per established machine cycle times
- Deburr and blend machined parts to meet finish requirements
- Perform routine daily machine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, removing chips, and cleaning coolant, dust, and debris
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Accurately complete and maintain all required production and quality documentation
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; candidates without a diploma/equivalency may be required to complete a pre-employment assessment
- Trade school training in machining or related field preferred
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Demonstrated ability to focus and maintain accuracy in a production environment
SCHEDULE
- Mon-Thur
- Training starting on 1st shift 6am-4:30pm or 5am-3:30pm
- Moving to 2nd shift once training is completed 4:30pm-2:30am or 3:30pm-1:30am
- OT Worked on Friday and Saturday
- Long term temp assignment
- Payrate: $21/hr+ based on experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Work in environments with varying noise levels, from moderate to high
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye, ear, and foot protection, while on the manufacturing floor
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–50 pounds
